From 9 to 11 August, 2017, Foundation Cultural Heritage and Modernity together with the Department of Cultural Studies of the Belarusian State University organized a Culinary Expedition in Mstislaŭ. The main purpose of the field study was to collect information about the traditions of cooking in Mstislavŭ Region and the features of the culture of everyday life in this territory. Students conducted interviews with local inhabitants and collected a large number of materials. During the expedition, students also had the opportunity to listen to lectures on the features of collecting information using visual anthropology methods, the uniqueness of wooden architecture, and urban strategies of historical cities.
According to the results of the study, Foundation Cultural Heritage and Modernity and Department of Cultural Studies of BSU planned to publish a booklet about the culinary traditions of Mstislaŭ in 2018.
